For Businesses

Recruits for the future of the business

The UK's top university students, trained to put AI to work, matched to real projects in start-ups and SMEs. They can help you use AI inside the firm, and take on your other project work too.

University interns collaborating on a project in a UK business

What businesses receive

  • Recruits for the future of the business, matched all year round
  • Access to a talent marketplace of the UK's top university students, trained in AI workplace integration
  • On request, the student helps you use AI inside the firm, and takes on your other project work
  • Or they can focus solely on AI workplace integration consulting. You tell Ask TEC which you want
  • Student pay is agreed separately, at or above UK National Minimum Wage. TEC does not take a cut

Our approach

How we work with businesses

You give TEC a defined piece of work. Students are reviewed against that brief and put forward only where they can show they can deliver it.

01

Start with the work

Set out what needs doing, which tools it runs on, and how you will judge success. Tell Ask TEC whether you want AI workplace integration only, or that work alongside your other project work.

02

Hold the standard

A student is put forward only if they can show present ability and a willingness to learn quickly.

03

Onboard to your methods

The internship starts with a student prepared on your tools, and ready to learn on the job.

04

Stay with TEC

If the placement goes well, keep recruiting through TEC. Matching runs all year round. Student pay stays between you and the student, at or above UK National Minimum Wage. Free to use the website and view the marketplace. £349.99 per matched candidate.

How it works

What happens once you are with TEC

TEC receives your brief and reviews applicants against it. You then choose who to interview.

  1. 01

Submit the brief with Ask TEC

Set out the deliverable, the tools, the timetable, and what a good outcome looks like. Tell us whether the student should focus solely on AI workplace integration consulting, or that work alongside your other project work.

  2. 02

    Browse the marketplace

Search and filter accredited students. Each card shows match score, skills, work preference and rate. Shortlist the ones worth a closer look.

  3. 03

    Message and select

Unlock a conversation, then confirm the match on the selection sheet when you are ready. Screening, matching and interviewing typically take one to two months.

  4. 04

    Place the internship

TEC onboards the student to your tools and working habits so they can contribute from the first week.
